Your math is off, 28.97/15 is $1.93/qt. Seems to be shipped by local stores so expect it to be OOS here and there.

Seems like the stores are clearancing through the corporate website instead of putting it on a shelf with a red sticker.
except stores dont usually carry 3 packs.
which is why I ordered mine ship to home.. worst case scenario they refund me the missing 4 jugs if they send 2 jugs instead of (2) 3 packs

I've had both happen before.. got the 3packs.. and got 1 jug.. so I'll update tomorrow with what shows up.
This hasnt made it to slickdeals yet.. so I doubt wholesale canceling of orders/pickup will happen.

Nice!

If I didn’t already have plans to run VRP for 4 OCI I’d been giving it a try. I just don’t see a reason to get 3/6 jugs I likely won’t use for another year +. Anyways the PZ rebate will likely start up again soon, I can take advantage of that later on in the year. Also I don’t think Hybrid formulations are just marketing. Again great deal on a great oil - if it’s legit 3 jugs.

I ordered three 3-packs, makes it easier to do a partial refund if they screw it up.

Page reads 384 fluid ounces, which is 12 quarts, which is also funny.

In this case hybrid seems to mean additives to combat excessive moisture and possibly lower temp running (engine temp)
Its more than nothing but is non-hybrid oil failing at anything in a hybrid engine?.. I'd say no.

I just bought 15 5qt jugs at AAP or I would have went for 9 too.

So yeah the million dollar question is if there's really something different about it making it less than ideal for ICE?

My guess: no still better than store brand anything etc. is it slightly less optimal maybe.. or it could just cost 50cents more to blend.
this is regular 28.97 which puts it on price tier with ESP etc.. not regular m1 api SP products.

Gotcha! So next I too am really suspicious because B&M stores don't usually deal in "3 packs".

I am in for one. I went the pick up option as they had some seller option that was $7.20 added if I went the shipping route. As soon as they confirm -- I am going to pick it up.

Sure. I’m running non hybrid oil currently in a hybrid. It does well. Similarly running non HM oil currently in a 200K miles Hyundai. Also does well.

Unfortunately the “it’s just marketing” crowd doesn't seem to mean what you’re saying. They seem to be suggesting that it is all just lies and propaganda. Which is a very different connotation.

Highly doubt it. If it’s formulated to combat moisture, fuel dilution, and other known hybrid issues I’d say it is plenty suited for non hybrid ICE only situations. Those issues are still problematic and potentially possible.

Would be suitable for short trip driving then being those ice don’t get up to operating temps to burn off moisture

Here’s what’s left at my front door…. Looks like I got a return to take back thank you WM👺👹

It's possible to probable that the "secret ingredient" that makes it applicable to hybrids is a teensy bit less viscosity or more AW additives. This product is a "shelf flanker" like Honey Garlic Cheerios that keeps competitors off the shelves. How many "flavors" are there, EP, HM, Hybrid, ESP, regular? The FTC requires different products to be different-- someone got in trouble selling the same contact lenses as daily wear vs weekly wear, but they just have to be "a little different."

I went for the home delivery. There's more "evidence" via those front step screen grabs of what I ordered and it's easier to argue for a partial refund with online customer service vs staring at an associate in person deciding whether or not to pick up your order.

When the employee brings the oil out to place on the shelves, the jugs are packaged in boxes of three that he/she opens and places on the shelf individually. And if no three jug boxes are available, they just give you the three jugs.

OP, thanks. I ordered a box for pick-up in two hours.
