I would add one point. If you're doing short OCI's and can't bring yourself to extend them, in my view the only value to synthetics is in special circumstances:
- Engines with turbos and a small sump (or notorious sludgers)
- Engines operating in really cold conditions...like canadian winters.
I'm sure there's more to add to that list, but I'm a guy who always wants the best for his cars, and I'm going back to conventional oils for the summers.
