Think it's better than the previous oilNo idea. Because the metallic additives are so low, moly gone and oxidation value around 10, people naturally assume it's worse. I don't believe that.

why do you say this? it has porsche c40 approval ,so it suits a bmw ll04 approval and correct me if i am wrong but any oil that has MB-Approval 229.52 and not a llo4 can be used by a bmw ?I have to be honest, other than BMW LL04 applications I’d use ESP X3/X4 0W-40 instead of this every time.
I just mean if you care about officially having the approval, not just a recommendation.why do you say this? it has porsche c40 approval ,so it suits a bmw ll04 approval and correct me if i am wrong but any oil that has MB-Approval 229.52 and not a llo4 can be used by a bmw ?
p.s. i just saw you had already answered this positive in the 0-30 valvoline thread
mmm I think worst.... No Molly, no Esther, less PAO and Maybe no GTLappart from the excellent noack ,what is the conclusion? is it better than the sn api or worst?
Definitely don’t want any Esther.mmm I think worst.... No Molly, no Esther, less PAO and Maybe no GTL
Anyone's guess. From some of the articles posted over the last few years, you can see that some oil formulators are resorting to non-traditional additives that are just not going to impress via a VOA. They're not detectable.appart from the excellent noack ,what is the conclusion? is it better than the sn api or worst?
11023G15, so 110 is the Plant where it was made, 23 is the Year, G is the month and 15 is the day. So, July 15, 2023So I checked the date codes on the two jugs of ESP 5w30 that I have, one is 11023G15A and the other is 11024K26A. Perhaps the first one was made earlier enough that it was still the formula that used esters? The second one must be the newer formula without esters. Does that sound about right?
Interestingly the oil I have in the Corvette right now has a date code of 11018C31A so that’s 7 year old ESP Formula 5w30.
castrol 5-30 LL is a good oil,the rest are mediocre oilsIve been told on here to use ESP 0W30, that its a great oil. I couldnt find it at WalMart, only ESP 5W30, so I bought some. Is it comparable to Castrol Euro 5W30, and is it long drain capable?
