Mobil 1 ATF confusion

While looking for a pan drop and replacement fluid for my 2001 F150 4R70W, i see on the Mobil site that their Multi-vehicle ATF's product sheet says "approved for Mercon and Mercon V"

but the synthetic says Mercon but not Mercon V in the "approved by builders" section...

above that says it's fine for Mercon V....

what gives!

Nothing gives. It can be used anywhere where Dexron, Mercon, and MerconV is needed.

Don't confuse performance level with marketing wording.

The website is out of date, the Mobil 1 ATF in the stores is Mercon and Mercon V rated. It is now a universal type fluid.
