Does autozone/advance mark the prices on the shelves when on crazy clearance? Was in autozone last week and saw nothing. Should i just ask them to scan it?

I went to the closest Autozone and he said some nut came in and bought everything that was 1$/quart, guess one of you guys beat me to it!

The only reason I found out was because there were some oil containers on a rolling cart at the end of the rack. Not marked or anything. I asked if they were on sale and the kid at autozone said, "yeah dude, we all bought a ton of this stuff up already. Thats all that is left." I cant hold him at fault, I would have done the same thing

Thanks for the info. I checked the Autozone by my work like a month or so ago and they didn't have any great deals going on. They had a bunch of lone quarts on a clearance rack, but they were like $5-$6 a quart. Though you did get one quart free if you bought four. Most of it was Quaker State Ultimate Durability which is a good oil, but I didn't feel it was a deal worth picking up to add to the stash.

because I bought most(someone else beat me to 5 stores) the $1 a quart motor oil, and quite a few $1 a quart ATF as well.

I NEVER find these killer oil deals, most I ever find is pennzoil/mobil 1 for $5 a quart.

Wow, I need to check the AZ across the street from work. This is what I usually use in my truck.
Every time I chase one of these deals I strike out. They have the oil, but it's always the regular price. I wish I could score some Mobil 1 0W30 at a dollar a quart, I'd clean the out.
I didn't find any of the 0w30 age but i stocked up around 100-150 qts this clearance season. Got a lot of euro grade for my wife's yukon and a lot of castrol syntec and mobil super synthetic 5w20. I got a couple changes of Mobil 1 Extended Performance 0w20 and 5w20 too...
I never score these deals, time after time. But, on an off chance I swung into an AZ today. I got (4) 5-quart jugs of Pennzoil Platinum 0w20 for $5 each.
