Mobil 1 Advanced Clean formulation change

Admittedly The AFE is also a fine oil for Mobil 1.

Used it for both 2nd generation HONDA Fits ( 1.5 Ltr. . E.F.I. ) . One with 80,000+ miles and the other w/ 100,00+ miles . Neither one burned a drop of oil . The 100,000+ miles was mostly MOBIL 1 Advanced Fuel Economy 0w-20 and the other mostly PENNZOIL Platinum 0w-20 .

I'm sure it's been stated someplace here before, but it seems like the plausible theory is that they basically tweaked the EP formula to tip the scales towards more of a cleaning effect, renamed the amended formula Advanced Clean, and brought it out as a new sub-line to compete with Valvoline Restore and Protect.

I think Mobil 1 Advanced Clean supposed to be intermediate product that sits between regular Mobil 1 and Mobil 1 Extended Performance, with Extended Performance still being their top of line.

in a euro application??? that's what it is FOURMULATED for.
No, in non-Euro applications too. Both are superior oils in every metric unless 0.5% gain in MPG is more important to you than wear or deposit prevention.

FOURMULATED
API spec oils are fourmulated, but Euro oils are so good they're actually five-ulated.

I talked to Mobil about this in regard to using the Mobil 1 ESP 0w-30 and they said this oil IS FOR EURO applications but would work, though they recommended for best results the Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy in my Subaru are you a per say a formulator/chemist or have stock in promoting Mobil 1 ESP products?? do you know more than the engineers at Mobil in recommending a euro oil? please enlighten me if you are.

Here’s how Mobil compares Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy and Mobil 1 ESP.

You did not talk to a formulator or engineer at Mobil, you talked to an agent who is giving you a legally correct answer, since your Subaru calls for an API-spec oil, not a Euro one.

The Euro OEM approval standards are more rigorous, and considerably more diverse, than those of the API. That's why GM incorporates some of them into the dexos approvals. This is also why an API oil can be blended using Group II and sold at Dollar General.

Talked to a technical support technician after several phone transfers, that is what he said for my Subaru since it is still under warranty, so to make a long story shorter, went to Walmart and behold they had some Pennzoil Ultra Platinum, got two jugs of each 0w-20 (winter) and 5w-30 for the summer, put in car and no more start up noise after I drained ( extracted ) the Mobil 1 ESP 0w-30, go figure used a new filter (Purolator one),I just to get this, but clearly the SQ, GF-7 rated Pennzoil Ultra Platinum works better in the Subaru.

Subaru’s start up rattle is due to the filter not the oil. Some filters ADBV’s leak. I own and or maintain 4 Subaru’s currently on Mobil 1 ESP and PGI filters with no start up rattle.

Exactly, you did not talk to an engineer or formulator, so your quip about about that was baseless, and the challenge absurd.

As I said, they've given you the legally correct answer, based on what Subaru calls for (an API oil). This has absolutely nothing to do with your assertion that Euro applications somehow require an oil that would result in inferior performance in non-Euro applications.

Or, more than likely, this was simply due to the filter.
