Mobil 1 Advanced Clean 5W-30 VOA

Remember when Mobil used to put out testing videos? I think they're done with that. They probably have a strong enough customer base being they're the 800lb gorilla in the industry with an unmatched reputation in the world of synthetic oils.
The Mobil 1 Advanced Clean is interesting because it goes against the full SAPS grain - low metallics, low TBN but can clean and is good for 20k miles. Probably using unique ashless additives of some sort. I wonder if Mobil is using more AN in this blend for cleaning.
They basically threw this oil out there with no information backing it up. Clearly a reaction to Valvoline Restore and Protect as it is most likely eating their sales. I have no doubts.

Some sort of limited rollout. I don’t get it because I’d never pay a third more at a parts store

I did have an Autozone once offer to price match Walmart on oil. I went in looking at some oil filters and the manager was manning the counter. He asked if I was ready for an oil change so I said yeah I was, getting my oil filter and then run to Walmart to get the oil. He goes, "well, I'd like to have your business. if we matched Walmart's price, would you buy it from us instead?" I said, uhh I don't have to go to Walmart? I can just get the oil and filter here? Uhh, hell yeah brah, sign me up. He laughed and said alright c'mon. So I grabbed what I needed and he did match it to Walmart. Only time that's ever happened though.
It is now in AutoZone.

Just noticed they updated the Mobil 1 Extended Performance to 25k miles guaranteed (but the rest of the info is still not updated)
They haven't gotten it together yet. Conflicting mileage. This is all under the 5W-30 page

“one oil change” instead of Valvoline Restore and Protect’s four? What’s next, cleans in zero oil changes?
Sludge not piston deposits. Clever marketing by Mobil. Still probably a great oil but it's obvious what they did here....
Are there actual people out there, who do their own oil changes, that put 20K on an oil change?
