Final Comments : "This looks like tri syn and not super syn or transition between two formulation. Whatever it is the wear values are excellent ! Very clean running engine. This oil engine combo can go 6000 to 7000 safely between changes."

The oil was the first batch of Super Syn to hit the shelves. The engine is the 1.8 142 HP Non-VTEC engine. A Honda OEM(Filtech) oil filter and Honda OEM air filter were used. The car is driven 200-300 Miles a week with 75% of the miles hwy and %25 city. I drained the oil completely for this sample and am currently running Mobil 1 5W30 SS with a K&N oil filter. I plan on running this new batch 6000 miles before I sample. I am very pleased with these results. What do you guys think?? -Joe

Results look good to me. Don't change a thing! The moly is suspiciously low for SuperSyn. Might be because it's a transition formula? Hopefully not from the rings!

You can see it's not the same SuperSyn as the latest stuff since the moly is low and the magnesium is still there. SuperSyn has only 20ppm of magnesium, although there would still be some residual from the previous oil. I'm guessing you ran TriSynthetic before this oil?

The wear numbers look very good and the oxidation and TBN suggest this oil can go at least twice as far if not more in your car.

Patman, you are correct, I ran Trisyn in the car at 3000-4000 mile intervals since I purchased the car used with 32000 miles on it. This was the first time using Supersyn in the car and it was actually the first batch that hit the shelves.
