Mobil 1 5-quart jugs

My local Walmart has been selling 5 qt. jugs of Supersyn (when they have them) for $15. Used to sell them for $17.88. Either way it's a good deal.

Local Wal-Mart got the 5 quart jugs in stock but they raised the price to $22.48 ($4.50/quart). I thought I remember picking them up for $18. I don't think it's worth the hassle of dealing with such a large container (harder to control) compared to the normal $4.77/quart price. Disappointing.

I've been checking my local Wal-Marts amid rumors that the deal may return, but no dice so far.

. Stores in my area are junky and poorly stocked in general. Auto Dept is unloading their SuperTech Filters. No $15.88 5 quart Mobil 1

Even the gallon jug of RotllaT Syn is up to 22 bucks from 12 bucks. That's probably not Walley Worlds fault though.

Just talked to the auto guys in Walmart a couple of days ago and they said probably next month they'll get them back in...and at the $17.88 price. From what I gather, Walmart orders the stuff and Mobil send when they can with no time frame given. ***Message to Mobil*** Start cranking up the production, more people are using synthetics!

Uhhh... THAT -might- be the problem. At best, PAOs don't come cheaply, easily, or plentifully. But, Toy, at least you don't have to worry about me. I'm fine with dinos

I have never seen a 5 qt jug of mobil 1 at any wal-mart around here in 2 years of looking. However, it is pretty cheap by the quart here. The wal-mart and target here have it for $3.74 a quart last time I was there.

Could it be that the cheap WalMart prices were for the TriSyn that Mobil was trying to clear out, and now the prices have raised back up for the SuperSyn?
