Regarding the Supersyn quantity in M1. Honestly I do not know how much is used in M1. I know back 5 years ago when the Mobil racing engineer was going through his problem, he did use a good slug of it..
But again, at this point I have seen no differentiation in analysis results for automotive/local delivery trucks that have been long standing M1 users.

M1 0W40 TS is very good on a Timken, can't wait for some SS version to become availble. Still i'll take a bet real life wear figures aren't as good as D1? Can you give a brief explanation of what the 1.3% sulphated ash means when used in my Subaru or Mazda gasoline engines? Tks...s

George, don't want to put you on the spot or M1 ( since many of my builders use M1).

But isn't it true that the "super-syn" EP ester is used in the commonly available M1 at a lower level than the stuff I see raced in high dollar engines ?

George,

Thanks for your thoughts on the "new" Mobil 1. I knew it could not have been as bad as some made it sound. Who knows, Mobil 1 with SuperSyn might very well be the best Mobil 1 yet.

I just love Mobil 1
