Mobil 1 0w40 users

What's the question? It meets Mercede's spec so I've got no problems using it. Get a BMW, Mercedes or Audi and start using it. They're way nicer than regular cars, don't know why I didn't one a lot sooner.

Didn't you start a similar Mobil 1 0w-40 topic not that long ago?

As others have suggested, if you have an application question, most guys want the background info in excruciating detail before they can form an answer. Good luck with your Passat. I use Mobil 1 0w-40 in my daughter's 2002 V6 Passat and get great UOA reports.

Its fairly clear English is not his native tongue so we should probably lay off... he was just asking for opinions. We're too accustomed to formal posts and a professional atmosphere here on BITOG which means we will be quick to shoot down newcomers who didn't search before hand and post these threads, myself included.

Most of the internet doesn't work this way and this site is one of the few exceptions. We should be encouraging people to learn and not belittle them for not knowing our norms here or searching. Lets continue being a positive community and link this newcomer some reading material on his question.
