Just wondering, I recently saw the "new" Mobil 1 0w30 at PepBoys and it says on the package something like it meets or exceeds 10w30 standards... I have an 86 Toyota (4age engine I think) and an 88 Mazda, would that oil work in engines that old, or is it only designed for newer engines? Also, I have been adding some anti wear additives because they no longer sell the correct service code for my engines. Would I still have / be able to add them with this oil?

FWIW, I ran 0w20 in my Mustang for a winter (1987 302) and it worked great. Only 8 psi difference between that and their 5w50 formula (summer use), which I've now completely given up on; the car did NOT need an oil that thick.
Car would roll over in the dead of winter like it was the middle of summer, I was pretty happy with the stuff.
Recently have been running their 0w40 in my Town Car with great results using a PureONE filter. From some reading on here, I am going to try and find those Amsoil filters for it instead, because they are about the same price and sound like they do a better job. Was also going to switch over to Delvac 1 5w40 for the summer........

This green cap marketing [censored] has apparently displaced the shelf space of Turbo Diesel Truck 5W-40, I don't see it at two of the local walllys anymore but there is a wall of green cap glaring at me from the end of the aisles.
