Porsche is not moving away from X4, the C40 GT is for specific cars only; GT and other HP cars. Other 911s, 718s still require C40, the current X4 oil. Will they? Who knows, but they are not now.

The guy on the video was talking specifically for GT cars. He said that he has a sticker on his Cayman GT (I guess) that states Mobil 1 X3 0w40, but Porsche Motorsports recommends Mobil 1 C40 GT for those same cars for track use. This is what he posted as description on his video:

There has been recent talk about which C40 oil should be used in Porsche GT cars. The manual tells us Mobil 1 ESP X3 yet Porsche Motorsport recommends another to race teams. After having a friend blow up their engine I think I'll be switching my oil to the Motorsport recommendation. Let me know what you all think! Oil I'm switching to: Mobil 1 C40 GT
