MMO thinning oil

I would use StarTron stabilizer. I like blue Stabil, but for large tanks, the StarTron is good.

While I know MMO is a "mystery" who claims its a stabilizer?

I agree. Last year I tried this "wonderful stuff" in the gas tank of my Mercury. This was on the way home from a 2800 mile trip. I did see about .5 MPG increase - probably more from my wallet being lighter!

Of course the better weather on the return trip probably made more difference in MPG than the "mystery oil".

If you read what I wrote: "as a part of the pre-deployment prep." Fuel stabilizer went in as well went in as well. You might now ask why both? My son was deploying from NAS Whidbey Island, and parking about 100 yards from the Puget Sound, at least I think that body of water is the Puget Sound. I feel the MMO in that heavy a dose would keep the injectors from messing up from the fuel going bad, etc., the cylinders, rings etc would not flash rust. My intent was not to go into how we did a pre-deployment prep of his car.

I will thank him for his service, he recently signed on for another 6 years.

BTW MMO does have some fuel stabilizing properties. But not as good as something like Stabil.
