I got 3 qts of the old PU 5-30 & 3 qts of PPU 10-30 from AZ for a buck each.My car is a `98 Z28 with less than 15,000 miles. Both weights can be used according to the OM.Anyone see any problems with a mix here?

No problems what-so-ever. But I will wait until Spring because the mix is a little thicker than 5W30 for cold start in Winter in Indiana.

With the miles on the Z28 I would suggest you drive that car a whole lot more eeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!! that is a nice car drive it.

You might lose some low temperature oil performance, but I'd bet that you don't expose this Camaro to winter driving much anyway.
I'd go ahead and run the mix, provided that the Camaro doesn't sit outside on below zero nights and then get driven the next morning.
I'm sure that it doesn't.

We just discussed mixing in a different thread. I wouldnt obsess and just go for it. You will find some organizations that are ok with it like Blackstone Labs and Valvoline and others that are not so much.

Won't cause a problem, unless as others have said you are exploring very cold regions. And it appears that you aren't doing extended OCIs either.

So go your hardest.

I have a 2000 WS6, with 64,000 miles on it. Lots of mods.
It is my trash pit for whatever I have left. Your LS1 won't care what you put in it.
