Mixing t3wc with gas, did i get the right stuff?

Hi all! For quite some time, ive been reading here,about using tcw3 2 cycle oils in gas. I have been using lucas for the gas 3 ozs. per 10 gallojs for years now, and wanna try something more robust, and different!
so! at my walmart last night, i saw a little blue bottle, of 2 storke oil. then a grey bottle, quicksilver marine lubricants synthetic blend 2 cyclce outboard oil, 16 fl.ozs. for $3.97. i bought that. I had read here, it must or should say ashless on back, neither bottle advertised that.
The little blue bottle of 2 cycle oil, supertech, did not say anythig on it being tcw3..thier was a bigger bottle next too it, pre mixed, not sure if its same thing..but same problem, did not advertise tcw3.. section left of it was tcw3 oils. thier was a mineral base one, and a synthetic blend one...i got the synthetic blend one. Just seemed to make sense..
Did i get the right stuff? and at what ratios do i add too gasoline? I think i read here 1 oz. per 5 gallons? I am using lucas at 3 ozs. per 10 gallons (normal f ill up for me is 7 1/2 gallons at quarter of a tank). And is this quicksilver stuff safe too use in my corolla in the gas??? I also mix 1/2 oz per 15 gallons of techron...

TC-W3 is the right stuff. I use synthetic. Actually I thought all TC-W3 was synthetic.
One ounce to five gallons.
I've been using it for 3 or more years.
A lot cheaper to buy it by the gallon.
Walmart has it here in super tech (their own brand) and pennzoil brand.

My thought is, if it doesn't say ashless or TCW3 it probably isn't. There's plenty of non-TCW3 2-cycle oil out there.

Looking at bottle now...ah ok..the quicksilver says blended with the highest quality ashless dispersants. so i am asuming its ok...
what is the correct ratio too use? if i plan o fillig with 7 1/2 gallons of gas...how much of this quicksilver should i add to tank?

Is this stuff as good as, or better than lucas UCL? I dont necessarily save fuel with lucas, becasue here in stamord, theirs ALOT of stop n go traffic and traffic jams. especially I 95 exit 9 area. its horrible kills mileage quick. But hte lucas DOES quiet the engine, feel it run really smooth...
Wanting to try something new..see if the quciksilver does the same. think it will clean valves, combustion chamber ect as well?

Ill bet as a marine lube, there is a TCW3 logo on there at least. I like the Johnson Evinrude syn blend oil as it doesnt stink as bad. WM house brand stinks the worst. Texaco is an OK intermediate if you can find it.

Amsoil saber bottles in the small (8oz?) size are convenient.

no its not a 2 stroke..its a 4 cyclinder 98 toyotoa corolla..
yes! it has the small blue label saying tcw3 left hand side. they had johnson evinrude thier too about the same price..
so im guessing the small super tech bottle 2 cycle oil, not tcw3 label was NOT the stuff?
I stopped in advance auto..they had a few quarts of havoline tcw3, for $5.79 a quart...small pennzoil bottle like 4 oz size tcw3, and another name brand cant remember...
this quicksilver is safe n ok too run at 1 oz per 5 gallons in my toyota, in place of lucas UCL????

I have been buying and using the blue gallon jug of SuperTech Outboard 2-cycle oil from Walmart for quite a while now. It IS TCW3 and says so on the jug. It is not a synthetic oil but you don't NEED to use a synthetic or synthetic blend oil, as long as it says TCW3 you are good to go. It doesn't need to say "ashless", ALL TCW3 is ashless. Supertech is the most economical TCW3 2-cycle oil to use that I have found.

I used Pennzoil for a few years, a gallon lasts me that long, I haven't had any issue from either gallon.

However, pouring from a quart sized bottle (or smaller) is easier than pouring from a gallon sized jug. So I use the gallon jug to keep my quart bottle filled, and use that quart sized bottle to keep my measuring flask accurate.

3oz of TCW 3 and 2 OZ MMO in almost every 16 gallon tankful seems to do good.

I thought adding 2-stroke was more of a thing for diesels that are stuck running the junk ulsd. I buy supertech TC-w3 by the gallon and add roughly an oz per gallon.

They didnt have jugs of it, jsut a small like 4 oz bottle..and no where it said tc3w..thier was a larger one right of it, see throughish bottle, somewhat bigger, and said pre mixed ready to use..and also had no tcw3 on it..just the quicksilver and johnson ones did..
that little blue supertech 2 cycle oil is ok to use at 1 oz per 5 gallons??? ive read the others in forums say or specify tcw3....

The QuickSilver Premium Plus is the best of those oils. I use it,only,in my 2 stroke Outboard:Not in my 4 stroke Honda Automobile.

Interesting...4 ozs pe 5 gallons if youve never used that before? I never have, so im putting about 7 gallons in, (10gallon tank so ide use 8 ozs??? then 2 ozs per 5 gallons after that?

No. Sarge said that if you have never put in the TC-W3 to figure the tank capacity and add the required amount to match the ratio of 1 ounce of TC-W3 per 5 gallons of gas. So if you have a 20 gallon tank then add 4 ounces of TC-W3 and filler up.

Gassers can benefit from using it too. I use it in every tank of fuel in everything I own.

Just to re-iterate the 1 ounce per 5 gallon ratio. Over treating may affect fuel economy in a negative way,under treating won't aid much in any way.

Their are many versions of tc-w3 2 stroke oil. It's used in outboards and snowmobiles.
At the treat rate of 1 ounce per 5 gallons whether you use synthetic or conventional is for you to decide however I doubt very much using a synthetic will do anything the conventional doesn't other than cost more.
Remember,it's not the main source of engine lubrication,it's just a bit of a helper for maintaining cleanliness and as an upper cylinder lube.
If I was putting it in a banshee or bike I'd lean towards using a synthetic but I am pretty confident that only your wallet can tell the difference using it in this type of application.
The Lucas you were using was doing the same thing as the tc-w3 but costs more.
Unless it says TC-W3 don't use it in a modern engine. There are sensors everywhere and if I'm not mistaken they could include metallic anti-wear compounds than can affect your catalytic converter. The benefits don't outweigh the risks in that type of situation and you are better off not using anything.
So be sure its tc-w3.
Mmo can also be used for the same type of benefits,just follow the instructions.

If you could would you mind posting or messaging me your observations and mileage before and after using tc-w3. Some folks see an improvement in running condition as well as a bump in mileage but others don't notice any changes at all.
The reason I ask is I'd like to know which engines operate better and which just don't notice.

TC-W3 is always 1oz per 5 gal gas. MMO is 3-4 oz per 10 gal gas.

thanks! just added 2 ozs, to 8 1/2 gallons at a shell pump..87 octane, for a 98 corolla. SHould be about 2 gallons left in tank making it 10... used the quicksilver stuff.

God i LOVE this stuff! even the lcas UCL never made a quiter smoother running engine! the quicksilver synth blend.. put 8 1/2 gallons in, totaling 10/5 gallons, and 2 ozs of quicksilver. wow!!! car s so much funner to drive!
wanna try the valvoline 2 cycle when my bottles run out..love valvoline
