Mixing ESP 0W-30 and ESP 0W-20 and do a VOA

Will the mixture work safely in the engine? ESP is great. But I want it to be 10.0 thick, not 12. And I wonder what the VOA of the mix would look like. Please don't tell me you want me to be your guinea pig. I want to know if it is safe before trying.
Thank you

The VOA isn’t going to tell you if it’s safe. Passing ASTM D6922 does that. Every oil with an API license passes that test.

And a name change too. Whatever next? I guess Jeep Junkie is already taken, huh? I wonder what happened to him?

But will it be safe? And VOA can at least tell me the viscosity of the mix

Just because the oil has the same name, e.g. ESP, doesn't mean they use the same, exact, additive packages. These may or may not play fair with each other and a VOA isn't going to tell you anything more than your bank account was debited $XX.XX.

Perhaps if you sent samples for each grade individually and looked to see if the additives looked similar? Nah, it's still not going to tell you anything.

Have you contacted Mobil and asked them if blending these two oils is okay from their perspective? Seems they'd be the correct people to be asking.

Good idea, I will write them an email

I was mixing 0w-20 and 5w-30 for a couple years in my 16 Silverado and both Jeeps. Now I just use 5w30 in everything. I see very hot climates in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, and I sleep better at night. No perceptible change in fuel mileage, but it does seem to have more power via butt dyno.
