I have read around the forum but never came up with a concrete answer on if it is okay to mix clear power steering fluid with DEX VI.

The service manual states.

Quote:
GM Power Steering Fluid (GM Part No. 1052884 - 1 pt.,1050017 - 1 qt., or equivalent).

Instead of flushing all the old out is it okay to mix the two by means of sucking out reservoir and refilling with DEX VI a couple times a few days apart?

Thanks for the input and if this has been mentioned before please direct me to the thread!

You should be able to disconnect the outlet from pump that goes back to resovor and turn on the car and pour new fluid as the resovor gets empty, pouring the old fluid into a container for recycling.

After you feel that most of the fluid is replaced have someone move the steering slowly , then speed it up going back n forth while dumping out the old fluid.

As long as you are keep the resovor half filled u shouldnt get any air going into the PS system.

Yes they are miscible (mixable).

I do know the clear GM PS fluid was formulated with no detergency, whereas the DexronVI does have a bit of detergent in it.

However, if you are in a warranty period, and your PS system needed repair, the red dyed DexronVI would be an indication of the non-clear PS fluid being used.
