Mitsubishi MZ690072 Virgin C&P

Can't really look up a different band filter's cross referenced bypass valve setting to determine what the other brand filter's bypass setting is or should be. The bypass valve setting can depend on the filter's media dP vs flow performance and how the dP increases with debris loading. That's why many different oil filters specified for the same engine won't all have the same bypass valve setting.

In my past sourcing, I segregate bypass by the 10psig+/- group from the 20+/-.

I won't run a non -spec, physically compatible unit with a high bypass setting where the manufacturer OE spec a low bypass.

I have had enough problems with small high efficiency filters that - many here profess can physically not be an issue - but I have proven without a doubt to absolutely be problematic

Yep, basically all one can do is try to group the bypass setting in groups ... like low, medium and high if looking between different non-specified filters that might fit the same engine. There can also be some overlap between different brands of oil filters that are specified for the same engine due to the filter design itself, so referencing the bypass setting on cross referenced filters may not be an accurate reflection of what the bypass will be or should be for some other brand filter specified for the same engine. All you can do is trust the filter specified by the filter maker for a specific application. When trying to find a non-specified filter that doesn't even have a direct cross reference, then it becomes more nebulous.

Any time someone is looking at using a non-specified filter (over-sized or not) they need to be careful when looking between different brands. Some filter over-size exercises are easy when looking at an over-size in the same brand ... like using a Fram 7317 instead of a 6607, or using a Fram 3600 instead of a 3614, or using a Motorcraft FL400S instead of a FL910S.
