I know we have a lot of active-duty & former military men & women on this forum. It doesn't get said enough so:

Thank you all for your service to our country! May God bless you, keep you & protect you!

As a "former" (Vietnam era) military, we have beared the brunt of sacrifice and to add insult to injury, widespread distain and have seen it when a majority of the country does not appear to appreciate one's "service." In that sense obviously was not one who gave the "ultimate" sacrifice, so really complaining would be disengenous!

So appreciation like this rekindles the notion (in me anyway, even after 30-40 years) that it was (/might have been) "worth it"

Thank You.

Thanks alot!...I know my time on BITOG is going to be severely limited as I am headed over to Qatar for 90-120 days.

My parents are in the military and it upsets me to hear no appreication in the fact everyone can wake up in the morning and not have to worry what language they will have to speak. Every day people take it forgranted.

I never go a day with out telling my parents thank you.

THANK YOU!.

If you can read this forum, thank a teacher. If you can read it in English, thank a soldier!

Did the Army thing and the Navy both. I prefered the Army hands down. The disipline in the Navy was way too laxed. All the services do a great though in my opinion.
