Milage vs Synthetic

Wife has a 1998 Infinity QX4 SUV with 77xxx on the odometer. The vehicle has always had the oil and oil filter changed every 3750 or 3 months at the Nissan dealer using the factory Nissan /Infinity oil filter with conventional 10w30 bulk oil. There are no issues to report, vehicle uses no oil between oil changes. Would it be wise or harmful to start using a synthetic oil at the next oil change, or leave well enough alone?

That depends on you. If you don't mind changing the oil that frequently then leaving well enough alone isn't a bad idea. If you want to stretch out the OCI's then a good quality synthetic is the way to go. By all means don't use a synthetic if you're not going to get the full benefit of the extended OCI.

Good point, I thought about the OCI's as well. I was also thinking about the semi-synthetic choices as well such as QS 4x4 10w30, just a thought?
