Picked up today. In perfect working condition.

Briggs & Stratton 7hp. New carb, spark plug, air and gas filter. Ran it for 30 minutes, changed the oil, 15W-40 CK-4. Lubed the main bearing via the zerk fitting. Added ethanol free gas. Ran the carb dry.

For $390 I’m pleased.

Shows "88" in the serial number so would this possibly be 1988? Looks like it has little use over that many years if so.
Most likely. No rust, just scratches on the chutes. Interior hammers are rust free too.

Man, it makes fast work of garden clippings, and small branches.

I've never owned one but I know it would be handy if you used the chewed up pieces for garden beds etc. as I'm sure you're aware of. This is the time of year we should start seeing some fall thunderstorms to surely load the yard up w/limbs. Nice find.

I have an older version of that machine. Pretty epic for leaves and yard debris. I use it once a year to mulch all the oak tree leaves. Makes a big pile of fines that disappears by the next year.
