Microguard Select from our '74 BMW. This is a new favored filter; strong can, heavy baseplate, flexible silicone ADBV, holes (not louvers) and evenly spaced, dense tough media. COO Vietnam.

~2k miles, M1 15w-50 out and M1 20w-50 V Twin in. Why the V Twin? I cleared my local O'Reilly's out of the 15w-50 for the other cars!

Note the damage to the ADBV was during my opening the filter.

RIP ADBV
Sturdy looking filter.
Awesome that you run the 50 grade and the filter didn't mind.
Re:50 grade. No, and that is a concern and why I typically run Mahle, Hengst and Mann & Hummel filters.

I should further clarify, I damaged the ADBV when cutting, actually tearing, the last 1/4" or so of the filter can. You can just see the remaining piece where I pinched it between the can and base plate.
