After some comments please!

I was given half a dozen new filters which will fit my 2015 Subaru Forester. I was reluctant to take them but the previous owner had sold his vehicle and insisted they would suit my vehicle. I have never heard of this brand before and as they are "Made in PRC to Micro Auto Pty Ltd's specifications " Im reluctant to use them.

So I thought Id cut one open and post the results here. Im sure there are some here who know more than I do about what makes up a decent filter!

Forester has 1200

^^^ I'd pass too ... looks like a low grade filter to me.

Chinese rubbish imported into Australia. Must be the cheapest around though at $2.90. Hard to get a decent filter under $15 in Oz but I would not use that one.

is that a metal ADV? Weird.

As others said, no cost for you to toss them. Maybe if you are doing a quick flush they would be OK, but not for a regular interval, although I would guess the previous owner was using these without catastrophic failure.

Thanks for replies, no surprises to hear the filters were crap. Gone in the recycling bin.
