Michelin Guardian wiper blades at Costco?

Does anyone have any experience with the Michelin Guardian beam wiper blades at Costco? They are quite cheap when on sale but I'm curious how well they perform. The reviews seem to be all over the place. If relevant, I would need 24"/21" and 28"/14" J hook blades.

They seem fine here in FL. The only downside I see is that they are not as low and flush as the OEM wipers were on my F-Type Jag. Don't care really. They work fine.

My preferred wiper choice these days for most cars. They look like rebranded Tricos. I’m having excellent luck with the trico wipers on my Tucson, which have lasted three whole winters so far which is my unit of measurement for wiper longevity. Bought the Costco Michelin wipers for the Corolla because they looked identical. Lasted two winters so far and still working perfectly. Every other wiper I’ve tried either starts streaking after 1 or 2 seasons or costs way more money.

But for some reason they aren’t that great on my FRS. Really inconsistent behaviour. Mostly it’s fine and sometimes they streak and skip a lot. I think there’s certain windshield curvatures and wiper size combinations that certain wiper brands do/don’t work well with.

My prefered type of blade, my prefered brand, but this specific combination of the two didn't do it for me.

Their only redeeming point is that when on sale, they are really inexpensive. Like seven bucks a pop.

Otherwise - they start screeching after a few weeks, they clean fine on my 3rd gen 4Runner (old straight-ish windshield) but are mostly subpar on my SantaFe, and to add to this - they are done with one accidental activation on dried crap or ice.

My first tries of frameless blades were Michelin Radius (no bad memories), and some brand named Anco which was amazing. Lasted forever, would survive through accidental activation over rough surfaces, quiet, and cleaned well.

I have never had good luck with any discount blades I buy at Costco. I have long decided to just get Bosch Icon for my DD's, never an issue and long service. My beater get the Rock Auto specials.

Thanks for bringing that up. Looks like they're the same as the Trico Flex. I found the exact same image used for both the Michelin Guardian and Trico Flex:

The J hook locks in securely on these but is ugly compared to the attachment of my OEM Honda blade. Can't complain the wipers work just fine.

They work perfectly fine, especially at the price. I’ve used them through winters without issues.
The old hybrid design that got phased out around 1.5-2 years ago was pretty crappy. They’d constantly streak and not wipe properly at highway speeds. But these beam style ones they got now have been very good imo.

I HATED the old hybrid design. They were the only bad wipers I've ever had.

Now I just grab $5 beam wipers from Rockauto from whichever warehouse has the rest of my order.

I have a set on the Accord.
They certainly aren't any worse than the $50./set Tricos that I had to put on the Pilot in a pinch, when the only thing around was an AAP.
I'd even go so far as to say that they are very good, considering the price point.
My issue with them is the attachment hardware on them. My application has a plastic piece that snaps over the top of the arm.
Problem is that it doesn't like to stay snapped.
Probably wouldn't go out of my way to buy into the experience again.

Have had good luck with Valeo on BMW and Lexus. With my wife’s GM pinch tabs, only OE worked well.

They look like this so need adapters with aftermarket and like the forum said they either fell off, or got raised higher off glass

The one time I bought from costco no dice so I stick with Valeo (who make OE).

I only run Toyota OE replacement inserts on my car (cheap and they last 1+ years before streaking), but on my wife's Subaru I run these. OE seems to only have replacement blades and they're about 4x the price as the Costco ones when on sale. They aren't amazing, but they're "good enough". I typically replace in the fall for rainy season. You can tell when they're needing replacement for her car because they make this God awful noise on the glass. Imagine a sound created by an intelligence agency to get you to spill all your life's secrets. I always have another set on hand ready to go as they seem to go on sale at least a couple times per year I think.
