Michelin CrossClimate2 wear concerns

I’ll gladly root for the underdog Goodyear here. Please post your experiences, no need for DM!

Goodyear and I don’t have a good average, but they have had a few truly exceptional tires. Their aquatread line in the 90s was a home run, and they had a similar tire in the late 00s that was also phenomenal as a DD and inclement weather tire. It will be really interesting to see how this one performs at 30k and beyond!
I remember the Aquatred. They were very much like today's Michelin and Goodyear 3 peak offerings.
I've had pretty good luck with Goodyear tires. In fact, I will be buying either Goodyear or Cooper from now on.
I can't see myself giving my hard earned money to France (Michelin, B.F. Goodrich), Germany (Continental, General), China (Pirelli, Kumho), or S.Korea (Hankook).

I feel the same about who I give my money to.
I was sad I had to eliminate Pirelli after doing research and found out the company is 37% China state owned.

The decision gets less easy when comparing an American company, but their product is not made here, Goodyear WR2 built in Canada for my size, vs Michelin France, but CC2 is made here.

In the end I went the WR2 because of the better price I got vs CC2, and like others have reported, very happy with them so far, but only got 500 miles.

Goodyear is an American owned company. Sure, they make tires in other countries. The profits come to the USA.
The Wrangler Steadfast HT, that I just installed on my F-150 were made in Chile. So far, I am very pleased with them. I actually like them better than the Michelin LTX M/2 that were replaced. Plus, they listed for $60 cheaper for each tire.

I agree the American owned company that makes products in other countries the profits come to the USA, But I also value jobs created from being made here, even from a non US company, I feel its close to a wash and buy the better deal at that point.
Ideally would be to buy products from a USA owned company, made here in the USA.

Glad you like your Steadfast, I am in the early stages of looking for tires for my old pickup and will keep those in mind.

Please do reply with updates.

I will post an update after I’ve had a chance to see how they perform in a variety of Colorado conditions.

Regarding price, Sam’s Club was the best deal I found around town. These GYs in size 245/60R18 with install were $932 out the door. I was happy with that price.
