Hey,

I'm going to change the coolant in my 2015 Meriva B. Can you tell me if this sounds right?
You drain the old coolant, then flush the system with distilled water, then put in new coolant. After that, you start the car for 10-15 minutes with the coolant tank cap off, turn the heat on in the car, and add more coolant if it's low.

Does that sound right? Anything else I should know so I don't mess anything up?

Are you planning on using a concentrated coolant or a 50/50 premix?

If that particular auto isn't known to have coolant problems (Plugged heater cores/radiators etc) You might just be better off draining out what will drain and refilling with 50/50.

I'm planning to use Zerex DEX-COOL premixed coolant.
There haven't been any cooling system issues, but unfortunately, I bought the car after the previous owner used distilled water instead of proper coolant.
Do you think it would be best to just drain what comes out and refill with the new premixed coolant?

turning on the heater isn't required, there's no tap in there anymore.
