Meguire's clay bar- for Castor

I didn't see where this topic was moved, just closed. I hate to see an honest question go unanswered, regardless of the subject, so....

The shop owner was probably right, the clay bar MAY not have done a bit of good. The easiest test is to gently run your fingers over the paint, if it feels like there are little particles of sap and dust sticking to it, the clay bar would work. If it feels smooth, a good polish (light buffing compound) and wax would work better.

a good test is to put your hand inside a thin ziploc plastic bag - run your finger tips over the surface - compare it to a piece of glass or a mirror. You will be amazed at how many particles are stuck to the surface that the clay bar will remove. On my wife's 1995 White BMW you could actually see little rust and grime particles.
