Has anyone ever tried such a combination Meguiar's #9 Swirl Remover which is a polish/glaze folowed by Eagle 1 NanoWax. What I am after is reducing swirl marks on a 5 year old black car. Supposedly Nanowax uses some technology that allows them to make a wax with rerally small particles thus better at filling in all those hair line scratches/swirls. Swirl remover #9 is a mild abrasive polish/glaze. it should make the scratches less visible and Nano Wax should fill them in a bit better than a regular wax.
What do you guys think? Would there be any compatibility issues?

If you use a PC you have a chance. Not sure, but I think #9 fills. Since alot of Meg's products contain oils, there might be a bonding issue, but you just might be ok. I've never used either product before.

Meg's #9 works best with a rotary polisher but its OK when used with a D/A polisher or by hand. It's pretty mild polish.

I tried Nanowax when it first came out and while it's really easy to use, I didn't think it was all that special. It didn't fill swirls any better than most similar products and it doesn't last too long. Plus, the pump bottle is more of a PITA than anything.

If you want a product that fills swirls, try Meguiars NXT Tech wax instead. It does a better job than Nanowax in filling minor swirls and I think it looks really good on black.

If you're going to do this work by hand, consider using Meguiars Deep Crystal paint polish instead of #9. It's formulated for hand polishing and provides a little more "bite" than #9 does which is what you need for work by hand.

Hope all this helps.

I have 3 black vehicles and use the #9 by the quarts. Have been pleased with it but it is a polish, so you need to put a wax on top of that. I use the NXT and I tell you, I've been really happy with the shine and the duration.

Scratch-X for removing swirls.
By far the best for deep wet,(long lasting) protection and (filling) swirls is Meguiar's M21.
For me NXT was a very poor performer, I won't waste my efforts.

i wasn't too impressed with the nanowax. easy on, easy off, but the durability was limited (on a silver car - should be worse on a black car).

appearance was ok.
