Has anyone used this galze before?

I just had my Z-71 buffed down by an shop for $40 to try to reduce the cracks in the clearcoat. The previous owner never waxed it and it was always parked outside. Sitting in a refinery parking lot durring weekdays probably did not help either.

I was going to ClayBar my QuickSilver '95 K1500, then go over it with two coats of Meguiars Glaze #5.

I'll either finish it off with Eagle One NanoWax or Turtle Wax Platnium (both FAR).

Has anyone used the Meguiars Glaze #5?

Thanks!

Haven't used #5 but I've used #7. Was OK, nothing amazing.

Check out AutoGeek.net for some other great products.

What did he buff it with? If it was a rubbing compound, then I would using a polishing compound, twice, (if you are doing it by hand) followed by any good carnuba wax.

Glazes are a bit of overkill in my opinion. If you use it weekly after every wash, its probably the easiest way to keep a fantastic deep shine on your car, but otherwise, carnuba wax is just as shiny and lasts longer than the Meguirs glaze.
