Put a couple of coats of Meguiar's Quick Detailer on top of the NX2 to seal it in. Lasted all last winter for me here in No. Indiana.

Thanks! Just picked some up. Will apply today.

How do you wash in the winter? I'm thinking about putting some Meguiar's wash in a spray bottle and using the commercial sprayer set to water only. Maybe this would be easier on the NXT2 than the commercial soap? We usually get a couple days where it's nice to get the salt off but I don't want to cut the wax in the process.

I use a Micro-Fiber mop with a handle about 4 ft. long and a car wash soap. Never ever a detergent. Really like the mop, I don't have to bend over to get the rocker panels or lower frnders. Not the easiest thing to to for fat old 66 year olds.

Quick question on the MQD (actually M Ultimate QD...?) do you spray it on light or heavy? I put the first coat on today. Pretty light. Went on and off easily but I got to wondering if this was a 'more is better' situation (or not)?

Probably putting a second coat on tomorrow (though rain is forecast).

I think you mean Ultimate Quik Detailer? Regular Quik Detailer won't add anything protection wise, but it would more so remove wax because it is not adding anything, but taking away when the paint is rubbed. Goes for anything though. When you are wiping the car down and not adding anything (QD, washing, etc...), you are technically removing wax. Make sure the product you use adds something to the paint.

Yes, Ultimate Quick Detailer. I put it on light and wait at least a day between coats. The lable says to alow 12 hours curing time.

Excellent Thanks! I'll get a second coat on today. First coat looks great. Even better than the NXT2 by itself.

The product you are looking for is Meguiar's Last touch or Final inspection after Nxt Tech 2.0.

Quik Detailer is used to prolong the life of the wax, and clean the waxed car if ever dust or other particles accumulates. Therefore you do not need to wash that often or wax too soon.
