Media differences in 3 different AEM DRYFLOW FILTR

looking to replace my kn filter with an aem dry flow but i noticed there are 3 different styles i have found.

white dryflow
red dryflow
gray dryflow

whats the difference if any? looking for good filtration and flow

I think I read on this site that the red was the newer and slightly more efficient filter media. I cannot remember what post said that but it might be worth searching some of the older threads.

The CAI kit I bought in 2010 had the gray dryflow filter with no metal screen reinforcement. it fell apart in three years. AEM replaced it last summer under their life time warranty.

It now looks just like the K&N red oiled filter but requires no oil.
