I've seen a couple of references here to Motorcraft being 60% synthetic. When did this change take place and how has it been determined? Definitely a great buy if it is 60% synthetic. I had been running Motorcraft bulk 5w20 (three quarts) with two quarts of 5w20 full synthetic. But if Motorcraft is 60% synthetic, I'm wasting money. I can buy bulk for $2.25 per quart.

I recently "discovered" Quaker State Ultimate Duty. My thoughts were that I would switch to that and do 6 month OCI's. Let's face it, 5 quarts full synthetic for under $21 has to be one of the best deals out there. But if MC synthetic blend is 60% synthetic, and I can purchase it for $2.25 per quart (bulk), my oil expenses will be cut in half. Pretty much a no brainer there. Has it been "confirmed" or reasonably well suspected that it is indeed a 60% blend?
Ford dealers routinely do cheap oil changes using MC blend. I had one near me that tried to become famous for doing it for $5. They still do it for $10 but I stopped using Ford dealers after too many bad experiences and once I established a stash of full synthetic for $1 a quart.

I like MC, but the comment about the Quaker State Ultimate Durability is spot on.
I thought when Mc went API SM, they went to a good chunk of syn content, using the SK oil group-III from South Korea.......
I remember in 2007 being told by a Pennzoil rep that the way C-P met the SM specs with it's oils was to formulate using about 50% synthetic base oil...
