Hello all,

I just purchased a new to me 2010 Mercedes GLK350 4MATIC with 47k miles. It is due for the 40k service which includes changing the transmission fluid and filter. I am considering using Redline D6. The Redline Application Guide recommends this since this GLK does NOT have the transmission that takes the special "reduced friction" fluid. I also plan on changing out the diff fluids with Redline 75w-85, and the P/S fluid with Redline D4 (can you tell I like Redline? I use it in my BMW and Honda).

The intended fluid change intervals is 30k or 3 years. Oh, and since this is BobtheOILguy, I will use Mobil 1 0w-40 and change it every 5k/6months.

Let me know what you think!

Know your spec and make sure your fluid mentions it, which you should verify with VIN #, production date, and transmission info.

PSF... CHF if required should be used. Equivalents are available.

Gear oil should be fine.

Shell 134 is for 5-sp transmission, which is what I use in my '00 E430. The 7-sp transmission may use different ATF, you need to make sure it uses the same ATF.

The Shell 134 is for spec 236.14 which is what this trans specs
The newer ones got 236.15 which is the reduced frictions variant
