Mazda 3 2014 longer OCI

So my manual calls for oil change full synthetic 0w20 every 5K (or 8K Km) along with filter but I want to wait until I hit 6.2K(or 10k km) so I do the tires at the same time.

The problem is my engine is known to be a fuel diluter and the oil filter is rated for 5k miles , do you guys think I should do it now or I could do it later?

Currently sitting at 4.3K miles

Do it at 5000 miles. Lots of date demonstrating low wear at 5K miles whether you think you have excess fuel dilution or not. Ed

If, you want to maintain warranty coverage, OCI every 8000kms. Otherwise, do as you please.

This engine is really hard on oil, 5k miles with full synthetic is unbelievable.

The 2L engine in 2000-2003 Honda S2000 revs to 9,000 RPM and makes 240 HP at 8,xxx RPM, only needs conventional 10w30 with 7500 miles OCI or 1 year for non-severe condition. Probably without DI so it has less fuel dilution.

As mentioned above, you need to do 5k OCI to keep warranty.

smelled strong of gasoline, so i sent a sample to Blackstone and received a report back showing not much fuel in oil. If i
can i will show the report.

But what bothers me is the wear.

Or find out with certainty by having an oil analysis done at 5K and see what it indicates. That will tell you whether you can try some extended intervals.

I think 5k to 6.2k isn't a big stretch.

How about preserving the warranty by changing the oil every 8k km and rotating the tires 2k early?

Would they really void your warranty? I heard people saying here otherwise.

Does the car have an OLM? Sometimes they tell you to go longer than the dealer.

Synthetic can go over 8K KM or 5K miles easily.

I just figured my OLM is deactivated because my light never triggers

I wonder what would have happened if a lady would have gotten my car instead

In the US it's 7.5k mi or 6 months for normal service. 5k or 4 months for severe service. Apparently once you cross the US-Canada border it's considered severe service.
