I know you're joking... But Valvoline could learn a thing or two from this site. If they built a better oil...We'd all beat a path to it.

I just changed the oil in my two cars with Maxlife 10w30.
2001 buick and 94 Miata. I blended the Miata with 1qt. of 20w-50. It seems to like the higher cst. We'll see how it goes.

I don't know if this is just a regional thing, but I've been able to pick up Durablend 5w30 and 10w30 (along with Mobil Clean 7500 and Pennzoil Truck/SUV) for $.95/qt at partsamerica.com. I order online and pick it up at my local Checker Auto. I like Maxlife, but it's tough to beat Durablend for that cheap.

if i had to chose between maxlife and durablend i would choose maxlife in a heartbeat. maxlife is more bang for the buck! plain and simple...

FYI guys - if I input my local zip codes, I get no deals on oil at partsamerica.com. If I input jazztrumpet216's zip - I get Durablend and Pennzoil SUV blend for $.95/qt or Maxlife Full Synthetic at $3.25/qt vs. $5.49 for my zip code.

I might spend some time trying other ones and see if I can get some better deals - buy online, then the store will match that price when you pick up
