Durablend or Maxlife

I currently have 63K miles on my 200 Ford Ranger. I have been using Valvoline 5w30 Durablend since I bought it new. My oil change intervals are around 4K miles. I am contemplating switching to Valvoline MaxLife 5w30. What do you guys think?

If you have no leaks or oil consumption to worry about, and now oil seepage...stick with the blend.

I'd go Valvoline MaxLife 10w30.

I'd make the switch to Maxlife, too. That's just what I did with my '98 Blazer when it got to 60K. I was also running the Durablend in it before

I would switch to maxlife, and being in central PA I would stick with 5w30. I've run maxlife in my camaro since new, and I used to love running durablend. Personally I think the maxlife is a much better oil than the durablend.

Stick to the 5w30 durablend if you are not haveing any problems with it. I think the maxlife is all marketing anyway. If the engine likes it stick with it.

Maxlife 10w30: 3.3

This was last year when I called Valvoline.

I think the choice is very easy, especially knowing that Maxlife has 12-22% PAO in it, and now with the SM, a nice slug of moly (about 290 ppm).
