MaxLife has not lowered my oil consumption...

How about a run of Maxlife in 10w40? If that doesn't help, nothing is going to IMO.

Yes...too many people don't know/understand nor have the patience to LET THE OIL LEVEL DROP to close to the "0" mark BEFORE adding any...

GTX HM is good stuff. Very thick in grade. Got a boost in oil pressure in my Trailblazer after switching to GTX HM 5w30 from conventional 5w30.

I was very high on that stuff for a while but it appears they have thinned it considerably as the new bottles are now marked "resource conserving".

Only spec sheet I can find on line is still the old one.
