Maxlife Engine Stop Leak & Conditioner

Greetings to all,I was in Kragens buying some oil,and saw this product;Maxlife Engine Stop Leak and Conditioner(V344).It is in a 15 oz.container and states it treats up to 6 qts.I checked Valvoline's website,and found no mention of it.Does anyone know if this is the additive package used in Maxlife Synthetic?

Yeah, it's weird because the bottle looks almost like Maxlife Engine Protector. Call Valvoline tech and ask. They will tell you how it relates to the Maxlife oil if you get the right person.

Thanks Tallpaul,I called Valvoline as you recomended and was informed that it was indeed the additive pack used in Maxlife oils.The tech stated that by adding it to the Synpower 5w-40(or any other oil)I use in my Golf,you have a Maxlife oil in any viscosity that floats your boat

Now that's pretty neat. Make your own Maxlife synthetic 5w40. I like it. But the stuff is pretty thick, no?

Hi,Yes it is thick,just like the STP I used in the 70's.The motor has to be warmed up and contents added at idle.I took off the oil cap,stuck the bottle neck in surrounded by a rag,and squeezed.Trying to pour without a rag would end up in a big mess,with most of the contents running down the outside of the motor. I too like the concept of turning your favorite oil into a 'high milage'product
