Mahzurrah!
I've used Maxlife in the past and have had nothing but good things to say about it, other than it happened to be noisy in my Jeep.

I put Maxlife in my son's high mileage oil eating 2.4 Chrysler Sebring this last go around, and we are now at the end of the OCI. Consumption was only 1 quart in 5k. Previous OCI's with PYB consumption was 3 quarts! That is a dramatic reduction for sure.

Way to go Valvoline! I don't know how they do it, but they do it.

Wow, I confused MaxLife oil with ATF and was about to have a conniption about you putting anything but ATF+4 in a 41TE;

But anyhow! Great to hear its working out for you. This stuff definitely isn't bad, used to think HM oils were a real sucker play but, can't go wrong if the car likes it.

Wow!! That is quite a difference.--I used to use VWB but never Maxlife.--I may have to give it a try--seems like many people on this site have good results with it as far as reducing oil consumption. Congrats.....

Maxlife is pretty awesome. I was on my last stash of the early SM 10W30 until the $7/jug NextGen and NG Maxlife closeout at WM. What a great deal!

“The chemistry we had previously developed and filed some patents on turned out to be a very good chemistry for solving ring wear and oil consumption problems. But, we needed a supplemental anti-wear additive,” said Lockwood. Ultimately, the team developed one, which was also patented.

It was red bottle SM, but the half quart remainder at oil change (4.5 quart capacity) and top off quart was NextGen SN. It's all good as far as I'm concerned.

I'd heard Maxlife helped with consumption, but I wouldn't have believed 3 quarts to 1 over 5k if I hadn't seen it myself.

My LS400 consumes about 1/2 quarts in 3-4k miles since new. I tried both Maxlife semi-syn and full syn some years ago, neither one change/reduce the oil consumption.

Noise is usually caused by the oil being too thin. Most guys run xxW-40 in their Jeeps.

I am glad to see positive feedback from Valvoline...

Lots of people talk negative about them, and after they bought all EZ lube. I raised my eyebrow toward them.

Recyled oil that works very well , thats next best thing to G-oil ( tiny bit of hippie here )

Have nothing to say but good about Maxlife. Reduced my oil comsumption by 80% on my BMW motorcycle. No longer have to park it on cardboard as it no longer leaks a appreciable amount of oil from the pushrod tube seals. A recent UOA confirms it is a sturdy oil.
