Just noticed that the MaxLife Full Synthetic is $20.47 at my Wal Mart. May grab a jug of the 0w20 Full Synthetic that's DEXOS approved

. Please discuss what you like or dislike about it.

Right now Mobil 1 High Mileage 5w20 is $22 and change at Walmart. Minus the $12 rebate = $10 and change. Hard to beat that deal right now.

That's a very attractive price! However, with the Mobil 1 $12 rebates going on right now and the report that Wal Mart also has the M1 High-Mileage 5-qt jugs on rollback at $22.88 (makes it $10.88 after rebate), that sounds better to me.

Problem is... M1 High Mileage doesn't come in 0w20, although they have a 5w20 available.

I've never used their full synthetic version, but I have used their blend over the years on my own and friends/family vehicles and have always found it to be an excellent product. It has sealed up some minor leaks (minor, like a drop or two on the driveway per day minor) quite well and quieted down some noisy top ends. They were always vehicles that were run on conventional their whole life so going to a full synthetic seemed like a waste.

Generally I don't recommend High Mileage oil unless there are some obvious leaking/seeping seals either internally (valve guide seals, that small puff of blue when you start up in the morning) or externally. Otherwise I don't think they provide much over their non-High Mileage counterparts.

I looked at the M1 website the other day, but did not see walmart on the list of retailers. Also, on my receipt all it said was Mobil 1 High Mileage, did not give any amount of qty in quarts. Do you think they will still honor it?

I re-read it and it says "Some participating retailers include..." and read the post you linked. I should have got two...

I'm running Maxlife Syn with the BITOG-hated louvered Puro Boss right now. No complaints from either thus far.

These include the only High Mileage oils in 0W-20 available at retail that I'm aware of, although I've yet to see Maxlife Syn Blend 0W-20 on a retail shelf.
