Max Life semi 10/30

What do you guys think of Max Life High Milage semi 10/30 for use in all my lawn equip and generators? I have 1 side valve B&S push mower, a honda powered self propell mower, a 24 hp Kali powered zturn, a 8hp B&S side valve gen, a 11 hp B&S ohv gen, a honda eu2000 gen and a 20hp B&S Vanguard standby gen.
The price for this oil is 13.50 per 5qts at WM. i guess I want to know how good of a blend this semi is and how good it will hold up to shearing in air cool motors.

i say go for it. i usually use rotella synthetic 5w40 in my snowblower but this year i had some Pennzoil Conventional 5w30 sitting there and used it. Im willing to bet there wont be any probs as long as i check level and change when dirty.

Oil consumption during warm up would be my concern. If the air temp is over 60f 30w. If over 95f def 30w. If lower than 60 10w30 anything would be ok. As for that oil, and shearing idk.

Unless you have leaks, then I would rather have some Rotella 5W-40 in those engines for year round use. If that is too expensive, then I would go for some Rotella 10w30 blend or just any old 15w40 HDEO. Maxlife is a great oil for leaks and consumption, but for better high temp shear stability for use in a hot running air-cooled engine, I would use one of the above oils, at least in hot weather. If you want to stay with Maxlife in hot weather, then the 10W-40 would be a better option, in my experience, due to higher HTHS.

I think I will go the route of a 30 wt T1 in all my lawn equipment except the honda. All my gens and the honda lawn mower will get what I use in my truck which is Pennzoil Platinum 10w30. The lawn equipment won't be used in the winter except for the honda doing bag up work and the gens can be used summer/winter. I was going to use Pennzoil Platinum 10w30 for every thing but hate to waste that kind of oil on the lawn equip.

I currently have this oil in my Deere X500 (Kaw 721V) as well as my Subarus. Ran it all summer with no noticeable consumption. I wouldn't hestitate to run this oil in any engine (spec wise), its good stuff. I've also got a gallon of Rotella T5 I want to try out so it goes in next. I'm liking the bit higher amounts of ZDDP in the HDEOs. I never run anywhere near the recommended OCI so shearing just hasn't been a concern for me. Any on sale 15w40 would do very well in your climate in those engines, but T1 30wt works too.
