Right - don't want it vaporizing my new gas lines.

Over 45 years of flirting with this and other "mechanic in a can" i've learned NONE is a good amount - unless you have the carb apart on your bench

I have to agree. I've noticed that if an additive clears things up they just plug passages and you eventually have to take it apart anyway.

John.

Did it help with your snowblower surging? I've added it twice now to help with my snowblower surging and it did not help. Looks like I'll have to pull the carb and clean it.

Back 8-9 years ago a buddy of mine got me to use it in my old 95-96? Camery. The car idled low and would die at stop signs.

His idea was it might help keep the RPM's higher since it was very flammable. We put 1/2 in 2 gallons (what was in the tank) and we hit the highway. Burnt about one and a half gallons then put the rest in and filled up the car.

It helped my idle. After 2 cans in total the car really stopped stopped stalling out at stop signs except the rare occasion here and there. After that iv been pleased and used it on any car that had a rough idle.

You can put in a lot.

It is stronger than Seafoam, and you can add a LOT of that (5-6 cans) to keep old gas fresh, such as in a car sitting s year without movement with a low tank..

I have to go with Molakule's answer, but as far as personal experience, I recently used 2 ounces in a neighbor's Tecumseh Snow King 5hp which would only run on full choke. Ran the tank dry and issue is resolved. I believe the standard tank on those holds 1 quart?

Tanks are 2qts. I use it with reckless abandon on my OPE. If you can get an engine with a messed up carb running by squirting carb cleaner down the throat as the engine starts starving. Put 4 oz in a tank of gas. Keep the engine going ,and in a few minutes it will start running on the tank. The Chemtool has started to working on the gunk. I try the procedure before I take apart a carb to clean it.

I put a can in the tank before I fill it up. It just cleans up the injectors and smooths out the idle. For OPE, it gets roughly 32:1, same thing. Because of all the solvents, it IS bad for paint, and using it straight in confined places. But it will clean out a gunked up carb or injector. Does good as a hairy knuckle dragging bore cleaner too.
