A parking garage for "test" and "scrap" vehicles was engulfed in fire this AM.

BYD has stated that this was not an auto-ignition battery fire (though, with the state of the building, I'm not sure how they so quickly determined that) and that the origin of the blaze was a test product, not anything currently in production for consumer consumption.

While the most egregious act in the OP is questioning how BYD was so quickly able to determine the source of the fire, given the size of the blaze, but still quoted BYD themselves on the origins, it's clearly anti-CCP propaganda from a terrified Canadian titmouse that can almost hear the Chinese jackboots coming to take him off to re-education camp!

It could have been a gasoline vehicle as BYD batteries appear to be superior to Tesla's, so much so Tesla buys them and uses them.
