Marvel Mystery Oil users, Problems with the new bottle?

I'm a long time Marvel Mystery Oil user, I'm a HUGE life long fan, I mix MMO as a top end lube and O-ring / rubber parts conditioner in EVERY tank of my many Harley and small engine gas tanks the last 30 years... So I'm buying a bottle once every 4-6 weeks I guess and have for years.

I'm having real problems opening the new Opaque red bottles ( Not the older see through red bottles ) but the bottle that came out in 2025. Has the child proof cap that you must push down and the new bottle spout is no longer strong enough to not collapse from the pressure required to get past the child proof cap.

A called MMO with the very first bottle, the nice lady admitted she was aware of the bottle issue and offered a replacement ( I was not looking for a replacement ) and a good thing as I never received one or heard anything else.

I have posted my issue on other forums and I get pushback that I am the only one experiencing an issue?

If thats the case, I wonder is it the humid area I live or something else making the bottle hard to open.
This is not a one off but at least the last 6-7 bottles are all but impossible to open.

Anyone else?

I never experienced the newer bottles. Always used the older quart bottles which were easy to open. I mixed MMO with my fuel to keep my Mazda RX7 rally car running. My oil injection system was removed (rotaries need supplemental lubrication in addition to the sump) as it was unreliable at high RPM. Burned cleanly and with no spark plug fouling.

I tell ya, I try everything and that cap will not release and not just when new, every time I open the bottle and not limited to one bottle... Something ain't right but I also have issues with bleach based pump bathroom cleaner, Clorox brands and others as after the first 1-2 uses the bottle leaks the cleaner on your hand every time I spray.

I wonder if all our bottles are now being sourced from China like everything else is?

I had the same problem with the last bottle of MMO I bought. Squeezing the sides of the cap while twisting it helped.
