What are your experiences with Neutra vs. FP in gasoline?
What are the differences in mode of action, and cleaning power of the two? Where does each of the products excel? What does one or the other do better/worse?

How is Neutra as an engine cleaner vs. ARX and LC??

Thanks!!

I think we need for somebody at this web site with a dirty engine in a car or truck to use Neutra and see if it actually works. It is ester also, like Auto-RX, but the ester comes from petroleum byproducts. If it works, Neutra is cheaper then Auto-RX. And it can be used as a fuel system lubricant and cleaner as well.

We could dedicate the test to Bob.

Well, it works. I have a 1.9L VW that had what they thought was a stuck top piston ring. The reason was that the Iron was very high in the UOA. The fuel economy was less than expected, the power "felt" less than other cars of the same make and model. The compression on the #2 cylinder was low. All thanks to the prior owner using dino oil and coking the top ring.

I used one and a half ounces Neutra per quart of oil, and one ounce per gallon of fuel for 500 miles prior to an oil change. This seems to have freed up the ring. The Iron content in the latest UOA is back to normal levels. The fuel economy is up to what it should have been, and the power level seems to be the same as others like this one. I'd say that it worked.

In the van which barley passed smog two years ago, passed with flying colors this year. Only difference was the Neutra in the fuel tank.

LC as a fuel additive has really cleaned out the injectors in the Isuzu. Will switch to FP. After using LC, in the oil, I pulled the valve cover. Nothing but bright shiny metal. This is in an Isuzu with 258K miles. When the valves were adjusted 24K miles ago, it was somewhat black with goo. I'd say that the LC did a good job of cleaning.

I have used the Neutra in the oil on three engines, a full bottle in the crankcase for 500 miles. Engines were operating fine before treatment but it sure did release a ton of crap in the bottom of the drain pan I use and the filter. Faster acting then RX but a direct comparison of benefits is going to be tough to come by.

As to FP, used only 16 ounces of it and saw no operational differences over my Amsoil PI or the Neutra. Neutra has a very noticeable effect on my lawn equip, magic. My current brew is a mix of the Amsoil PI and the Neutra. I like the Neutra but haven't really tested the FP enough to state a valid opinion as opposed to just an opinion. I do use the LC though and it does appear to help.

I used Neutra #131 in 79 BMW 320i(inline 4)with 127,000 mile.Kinda neglected by the previous owner.I removed the valve cover and found sludge and grit underneath.I used 5oz of 131 with Delo 400 for 1K miles.I had to add about a quart to top it off towards the end of the 1K.

When I drained the oil and there was a lot of crap in the oil.Not big stuff but very evident.

I poured about 6oz in the new oil with a fresh filter(Havloline 10W40).

There is a major difference in these three products ( 2 are solvents) and one is all natural
Auto-Rx can be used in power steering-differentials-transmissions (manual and automatic )this post says it pretty well.

As some may have noticed earlier I aborted my first treatment after 1000 miles due to encreasing valve train noise.
I now have opened my engine for a check, and here's what I found:
- The valve covers are much cleaner on the inside than before, areas were oil splatters on them were clean, and much of the black, sticky stuff is loosening up at other places. ARX has started its job.
- The rockers are completely clean were the oil flows on them, and I clearly saw that the black stuff had started loosening up and running off other places.
- The hyd. lifters were still completely black inside, they also had black oil in them, even when there's new oil in the engine. This shows that it takes time for ARX to get into and clean up places were the natural oil flow is low, such as inside lifters.

After these observations I've concluded with this:
ARX really need THE TIME and PATIENCE to work, it works fastest on surfaces submerged in running oil, but need a lot of time to get into (and out of..) places with very low oil flow, such as deep inside hydraulic lifters.

I'm soon starting on a new treatment, this time I'll let it have the time it needs.

FP is added to your fuel, LC is what is added to your oil, therefore any comparisons made need to be between LC and RX, not FP and RX. FP helps to increase potential energy in your fuel.

LC can be used anywhere lubrication is needed...power steering, transmission, ect.

Lube Control works with all forms of oil, including synthetic. It also has many other uses, including using for end of season storage, removing combustion, and pre-conditioning the rings before startup. This product will enhance hydraulic systems, as proven in a report preformed by Dyson's Analysis.

I didn't see anyone making comparisons of FP and ARX in motor oil????

My post was about LC vs. ARX and Neutra in motor oil and Neutra vs. FP in gas.

Alex, your're right...I miss read and thought Frank was speaking of FP. My comment had nothing to do with your post. New baby and as you can see I'm not getting much sleep, I keep miss reading things!!!
