Always come back here for the difficult questions LOL. The vehicle we got for our eldest son to use has the D-rated BFG KO2s.
The other day we were talking some educational points on how long you should run your tires and I explained the date of manufacture code - the last 4 digits showing month and year. We went out to the vehicle to have a look and - lo and behold - the normal date code wasn't there. Looked online to see if heavy duty tires might have a different system, but everything pointed to the normal date of manufacture coding. (Yes I showed him the code on our other vehicles)
Attached a couple of tire pics showing the DOT codes. Hopefully someone here can shed some more detailed light on the manufacture date.
