What kind of car was it on? What kind of oil was used? What did you replace it with?

Doesn't look bad for 15k, but the wavy pleats suggest 15k was too long for this filter.

1996 XJ6. Castrol EDGE 0w40, replaced with Mobil 1 Full Synthetic 0w40 and random white filter from my stash


for being one of their german made products i’d expect it to have been better. things happen i guess
