It's possible, but I can't definitively tell from the current filter in hand. I don't have the luxury to tear one of these apart right now, perhaps I can cut into a used one when I get a chance and see if I can tell from that. Then again, I'm not sure if the two-layer is applicable to the cartridge type elements.

No surprise. The Manns I've seen for North American and Japanese applications tend to be rebadged Purolators, whereas those for European applications are actual German Manns.

Bosch and Mann bought the US Purolator automotive filter operation and put it into a joint venture several years ago. Many of the US market "Bosch" and "Mann" filters are produced in Purolator facilities.
