Always loved this 1960 film. I always enjoy to hear Steve McQueen say, "We deal in lead, friend." And the sound track is great. Anyone else like this film??

Maybe my favorite movie. I think the best scene is early on. When Brenner is driving the hearse up to Boot Hill with McQueen they are fired upon by a second story window to the left. McQueen reflexively returns fire and neutralizes the threat. He then asks 'Chris' 'Did you get elected'? meaning were you hit? Chris discards the remainder of his abbreviated cheroot (by a gunman's bullet) and responds, 'No, but I got nominated pretty good'. @5-520. BTW, movie trivia; Brenner was very annoyed with McQueen during the filming because McQueen was stealing attention from Brenner by ad libbing with his hat. They were frosty co-stars. Three other of the seven were panned, James Coburn, Charles Bronson and Robert Vaughn. Eli Wallch was the perfect villan.

Absolutely one of the best, actually a remake of The Seven Samurai, (also a great film) every thing is done right, soundtrack by Elmer Bernstein is timeless, casting doesn't get much better, great lines and dialog, some really exceptional gunfight scenes. I never get tired of watching this. If you’re into such trivia, Steve McQueen was wearing an Andy Anderson walk & draw holster rig.
